A review paper that was published as part of the GEOHEX project last year has been highlighted in a new magazine from ASM International.
The paper, ‘Suspension and Solution Precursor Plasma HVOF Spray: A Review,’ which was co-authored by Shiladitya Paul and Garima Mittal, forms part of the Journal of Thermal Spray Technologies Highlights section, which includes articles from recent issues selected by the journal’s editor-in-chief.
The paper investigates the role of different process parameters - such as feedstock properties, injection methods, surface properties and more - on the quality and performance of thermal spray coatings.
The paper also includes recent developments and challenges as well as the economic aspects of suspension/solution precursor-based plasma and HVOF spray methods and their various applications.
