TWI’s collaborative work in geothermal energy is featured in the latest edition of European Energy Innovation magazine.
We have been instrumental in a variety of geothermal energy projects in order to help exploit and progress the use of geothermal energy by industry. These projects include Geo-Coat, GeoSmart, GeoDrill, GeoHex, GeoPro and the S4CE (Science 4 Clean Energy) Project.
A largely untapped energy resource, geothermal energy offers great potential to meet heating, cooling and electricity generation demands with a low carbon footprint. Being both natural and renewable, geothermal energy could provide a sustainable and clean energy solution for the future.

All of the projects are funded by the European Union’s H2020 programme under grant agreement numbers 764086 (Geo-Coat), 815319 (Geo-Drill), 818576 (GeoSmart), 764810 (S4CE), 851917 (GeoHEX), and 851816 (GEOPRO).
